Sunday should be a day filled with all the fun, but today, nature had other plans!  I have had the worst hayfever all day and feel like utter crap.  Therefore only one thing for it, a bit of pampering to cheer me up!

I started with a Forever Marine Mask to give my face a good deep clean and then decided to make a nice foot soak to feel totally relaxed.  I had a quick look through some of my books and came up with this Coconut Lime Foot Soak.

As with all my homemade posts, this was crazy easy to make and as always I didnt measure anything.  I put all the ingredients in a bowl and gave it a good mix until it was the same consistency as shop bought sugar scrubs – thick but still with a little bit of oil visible!  I put a heaped tablespoon of the mix into a big bowl of warm water and soaked my feet for 20 mins.

It was heaven, so relaxing and really took the pain out my feet!  My feet are now super soft and smell lovely.  For the effort this took it is a total winner for me.  I followed this by painting my nails to feel properly pampered, I am still full of hayfever and feel horrid, but at least now the outside of me looks better!!!  Who knows I may even start a new Sunday ritual!

Anyhoo, you make the Coconut Lime Foot Soak as follows:

1 cup epsom salts

2 tablespoons coconut oil (heated to be liquid form)

Zest of one lime

Juice from half a lime

You can include shredded coconut but as I dont have any in the house I omitted it.

Mix it all together in a bowl and add more salt to create the consistency you want.

As the lime is fresh this is best kept in the fridge.  But for all the time it took, I would just make a really small batch each time.  Add a heaped tablespoon to a bowl of warm water and soak.

I fully recommend giving this a go – let me know what you think if you do.
