Summer is coming, yay!  Which in my house means one thing, hot dogs and hot humans, we were all pretty much built for the arctic!  Around this time of year I like to start making my pups treats to have on the hot days to cool them down, and the best way to be sure they are 100% cruelty free, make them yourself 🙂  Their absolute favourite is my homemade doggy ice cream!

I almost feel guilty posting this as a recipe as really it’s just chucking 3 ingredients together and putting it in the freezer, I don’t even measure them!

So here it is homemade dog ice cream:

2 x bananas

1/2 large pot yoghurt

1/2 jar peanut butter

Put it all in a bowl and mash it together.

If it is too thick add more yoghurt, if too thin add some more banana.

Put the mixture into ice lolly moulds, ice cube trays, a big tub (whatever you want, personally I have lolly moulds which are just the right size for 2 dogs!) and put it in the freezer.

And that is it…………… I said guilty even calling it a recipe!

I plan on trying a good few other recipes in the coming months so be sure to check back to see what else I make.  I am thinking the next will involve watermelon as the puppy (and me) love it!
